New Wesley Allen Feature

A feature we’ve wanted to implement for a long time has finally come to fruition. Now when you’re browsing through Wesley Allen’s staggering range of finish options, you’ll notice little grey boxes below each finish which proudly say “View Finish On Beds.” Clicking on this little button will take you to a new page which will have examples of the various Wesley Allen products which have been photographed in that particular colour.

Our goal with this feature is to help you in the process of deciding which colour is the right choice for you. Often choosing the finish is the most difficult part of the process and by grouping photographs together by colour you will surely find the selection a bit easier.

In our quest to provide as many examples as we can, you may see “discontinued” items listed in these categories. These are items which Wesley Allen no longer builds, although we find the pictures are still a huge help.

This is still a huge work in progress as we add more images. There are a handful of colours which do not have examples at this point, some of these being brand new finishes that just recently were released.

Wesley Allen 2010 Changes

Hot off the (digital) presses, Wesley Allen has announced their product changes for 2010. We’ll have to wait until February to announce the new products, so the goal today is to at least update everyone on which beds and finishes will be discontinued as of February 8^th. If there is a bed you’ve had your eye on for a while now and it happens to be on this list, now is definitely the very best time to order, as a few weeks from now it may be too late.

Many beds which remain have also trimmed up and are no longer available in certain configurations. Our website has been completely updated to reflect these changes as of today. Also, all bonnets have been discontinued.

This may all sound like bad news but we assure you it is not. The 6 new finishes that were announced in November replace the 5 outgoing finishes in February. And on the bed side of it, there are more new models than outgoing ones. We’re really excited to share these new products with you and look forward to introducing them in February after the Vegas show.

Lot’s of updates!

Announcements have been a little sparse lately but on the upside we have been hard at work with lot’s of great new stuff. This is a very brief run down of what has been happening lately. 2010 promises to be an exceptional year and we’re very excited with what is coming in the near future.

St Geneve Informational Section

This area was actually completed quite some time ago. We just figured with many of the other features launching today that it is very relevant! A lot of great topics on down, silk, Egyptian Cotton and more.

St. Geneve – Online Store

Although there are still a lot of products we’re working on adding – our St. Geneve online store is now live. All St. Geneve products qualify for free shipping on orders of $100 or more. We’re also slowly building up a good level of in-stock products. The collection will grow as we gain experience into which items prove to be popular. As always, please check the notes on the individual product pages as we try our best to mention which products are regularly stocked and which ones require ordering.

As St. Geneve’s bedding is all custom, these items remain special orders. Currently the waiting time is approximately 4 weeks for delivery– and they’re worth waiting for, we can assure you of this!

Natura / NexGel Announcement

Our first NexGel sample bed arrived last week. It will be going on display soon! The model we’re unveiling is the DoubleGel Awakenings, which is the absolute top-end model in the NexGel range. Pricing and model information should be available shortly. A queen set will likely price out at around $4300~ – making it an excellent value when compared to other gel beds available in the market today.

Green Sleep Announcement

Three new Green Sleep models will be arriving by the end of January. These beds promise to offer something unique in the natural bedding world (ie: a mattress with coils!). We’re quite excited about these new Green Sleep models and after extensive testing in 2009 we’re certain the finalized version of these products will be truly spectacular.

We have parking!

Edmonton received a lot of snow last night. Thankfully our parking lot has been plowed and is easily accessible today!

Clearance List Updated

Whew.. it’s been a while since our clearance list was updated! Quite frankly a lot of our clearance items have been, well, cleared. The updated list is a bit sparse although as we move in to January a lot of our suppliers will start introducing their new products.

There are still some fantastic bargains on this list. One of the best deals are the embroidered duvet covers which are going for $59 each in queen size. Most department stores are asking $150~ for a similar product, making these an exceptional value. I’m also personally a big fan of any time that we’re able to offer any of our natural and organic products on a clearance price.
